Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is one of the best games by Krafton.
BHMI recently crossed 100 million users in India. It was suddenly removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store as well.
As per the source information, the most popular battle royal game was removed due to the India Government order. Although the exact reason for the sudden removal of the game was not confirmed officially.
As per the media reports, the company said, “We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from the Google Play store and the App store and will let you know once we get specific information.”
At the same time, Google issued a statement on the removal, stating, “On receipt of the order, following established process, we have notified the affected developer and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India.”
Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was launched in July 2021. It was launched as a replacement for the popular PUBG Mobile, which was banned by the Indian government in September 2020 along with 117 other Chinese apps. BGMI is almost similar to the PUUBG but the company claims that both the games are different.

Although, Krafton’s other mobile game is called ‘New State’ in India, which is also a Battle Royal game, a similar type of shooter game is still available on both Playstore and Apple App Store.
A non-profit organization, popularly known as PRAHAR claimed that Tencent is the second-largest shareholder of Krafton with 15.5% stocks. They also write a letter to the ministry of home affairs (MHA) and the ministry of electronics and information technology (MEITY) asking for a ban on BGMI under section 69A of the Information Technology Act.
