Offline UPI Payment: UPI payment is the most popular payment method now a day in India. The trend of online payment options increased day by day. Keep this in mind PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm UPI payment option is launched. But, in some areas in India, where no internet facilities are available and also some customers face the problem that their smartphone’s internet connection gets disconnected while making UPI payments. So, keep in this mind, UPI offline payment option was launched.

What is UPI?

According to the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), ” Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is an instant payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), an RBI regulated entity. UPI is built over the IMPS infrastructure and allows you to instantly transfer money between any two parties’ bank accounts.”

How to Pay offline UPI payment

Before starting this process, you should download the Bhim App on your phone and complete the one-time registration process. Only then will you be able to take advantage of offline UPI payment.

Step 1: Open the dial pad of your phone and type *99#.

Step 2: Now, it will open a new menu option. In that, you will get 7 options. This includes options for Send Money, Receive Money, Check Balance, My Profile, Pending Requests, Transactions, and UPI PIN.

Step 3: Then, press 1 to send money. Now, it will allow you to send money using your registered phone number, UPI ID, or your account number and IFSC code.

Step 4: To Pay using offline UPI. Select the UPI ID option, after that, you have to enter the UPI ID of the recipient.

Step 5: Now enter the amount, which you want to send to the receiver. After that, you need to enter your UPI PIN.

Step 6: Click on Send option and you will get a confirmation message after the transaction is completed.

After the completion of the UPI transaction, you will get the option to add the receiver as a beneficiary, for which you will be charged ₹ 0.50.
